Hello! I am Gurvir Singh Bhogal, a Computer Science Engineer. I build web applications and enjoy learning about how the Internet and the web works.

During my undergrad, I built the first departmental portal for the computer engineering department which boosted my interest in web development. In the past few years, I have contributed to open-source projects on Github, developed websites for business using WordPress, built android applications using Java, advanced my knowledge on using efficient web development libraries including React and Node.js, developed websites for The University of Texas at Arlington and I am working on combining virtual reality with online shopping using Three.js to provide a fascinating shopping experience.

Intranet Departmental Portal

Developed an Intranet portal from scratch for Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. The website managed data of 460 users and produced 8000 database entries each semester. It also met the demands of the department to conduct online quiz examinations, gather course feedback, display results, select courses, and a faculty dashboard.

Virtual Programming Assistant using VCAT

Developed a Web application to achieve Software Engineering task of developing code using voice based assistant such as VCAT. Provided component based code blocks to reduce errors also including voice based program execution extending the capabilities of VCAT.

Maverick & Skills

Built an application that will help students across the University campus to connect with each other to either learn, socialize and get to know their fellow peers using their skills and hobbies. The application will help a student look for fellow peers who happen to share the same interests as themselves and provide an option for the users to get in touch with each other and communicate through the application so that they can then decide to meet on campus and get along in their respective interests.
